Introduction to Research – RSS404

Introduction to Research RSS404 (15 hours, 1.5 units)

This course introduces students to the importance of research in the massage & bodywork field. Students will learn how to search efficiently for information on a topic, how to locate and retrieve materials, and how to document their research sources. They will be asked to evaluate the validity and usefulness of the information, surveying what is available through libraries, databases, the World Wide Web, and other sources. Students will be asked to analyze at least one research article on health and/or massage therapy. In addition, they will learn how to clear and focus their energies for this work.
