State of California Student Tuition Recovery Fund California law requires that upon enrollment a fee be assessed relative to the cost of tuition (Education Code Section 94342). These fees support the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF), a special fund established by the California Legislature to reimburse students who might otherwise experience a financial loss as a result of untimely school closure. Institutional participation is mandatory.

Completing the FAFSA & Applying for aid To ensure timely processing of your financial aid applications, IPSB has the following time line:
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion by student (and parent if necessary) – 1 week prior to class start date
- Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) 3-4 days after you complete the FAFSA and make any corrections for verification
- Complete Financial Aid Entrance Counseling and sign Master Promissory Note (MPN) before enrollment appointment

Alternative Financing & Payment Options These no-interest payment plans are available to qualified students who want to pay their tuition as they are completing their program classes. Small tuition installment payment plan fees varying from $50 to $200 may apply. Tuition payments by credit or debit card, monthly or quarterly. Tuition payments by post-dated checks, monthly or quarterly. Accepted forms of payment include cash, personal check, money orders, or cashier’s check. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards are also accepted.
