Admissions Eligibility
Basic Admission Requirements:
For Admission and Enrollment in the Essentials or other Non-Degree-Seeking or Continuing Education courses, the requirements are as follows:
- Minimum age of 18
- Fully completed student application
- Satisfactory financial arrangements made
For Admission and Enrollment in a Certificate or Degree Program, the requirements are as follows:
- All items listed under Basic Admission Requirements and One of the following:
- High school diploma; or
- Documentation demonstrating the satisfactory completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test; or
- Certificate of Proficiency earned by passing the California High School Proficiency Exam; or
- Documentation or transcripts from a college or university, demonstrating at least 60 hours of completed coursework
- Satisfactory payment of all previous coursework at IPSB.
- Satisfactory financial arrangements made
- Application fee paid
Program Requirements:
Massage Therapy Program
- Prerequisite course of Essentials must be completed.
HHP Program
- Essentials may be completed within the program enrollment.
A.S. Holistic Health Degree
- Advanced standing students who have completed at least 500 hours at another accredited school and have passed the national certification exam.
- Successful on-time completion of MT Program and/or HHP portions of the program.
B.A., Holistic Health Degree
- Successful on-time completion of IPSB A.S. Program or official transcripts for equivalent transfer credits including 750 hours of bodywork training Personal Essay (3-5 pages)
- Three letters of recommendation, one bodywork related, one personal and one academic
- Interview with the BA Admission Committee
M.A., Somatics Degree
- Successful on-time completion of IPSB B.A. program or official transcripts for equivalent transfer of a Bachelor’s degree from another approved institution including 750 hours of bodywork training
- Personal Essay (3-5 pages)
- Three letters of recommendation, one bodywork related, two academic providing clear indication of candidate’s ability to do academic discourse and written work required at the Master’s level.
- Interview with the M.A. Admission Committee.
All students enrolling in degree programs will be required to take the Communication III: Dialogue Methods, Introduction to Research and Study Strategies classes, and the Dynamics of Personal Learning courses. No transfer credits will be allowed for these courses.
