Academic Advising

Ongoing curriculum planning is provided, both individually and in class-based group discussions. The Academic Advisor is available by appointment for guidance and direction to help students determine the ideal sequence of classes to achieve their personal and professional goals. The Academic Advisor is available for general assistance and advice regarding the certificate courses and electives. Career development guidance also occurs in the “Creating a Professional Practice” and “Department of Success” courses. Additional support is provided to students and paid practitioners at the Massage Therapy Center regarding job information and placement. Our curriculum is designed to support all students equally. IPSB uses methods which stimulate each student’s multiple intelligence and multi-sensory talents. We encourage self-exploration and the cultivation of self-knowledge and awareness of one’s own learning style. All students are closely monitored to ensure their full benefit from our education. If it is determined that the student is not able to demonstrate ability-to-benefit from our training, then he or she is individually directed toward another avenue which will help them to meet their goals.
